Jessica R. Getz, EA
A Connecticut native, Jess has been a California tax preparer for 14 years. She graduated from Simmons College in Boston, MA in 1995 with a degree in International Business, and then started to travel the globe, taking positions with the World Bank in Accra, Ghana and then investment banks in London and San Francisco. Jess has always worked in the professional services arena, having held positions with major investment banks and recruiting firms. In 2006, she began her career in accounting in earnest at a forensic accounting/CPA firm in Oakland, working as a staff accountant on both tax preparation and family law matters. In 2014, she started with Rabin & Co. in order to focus on tax accounting and bookkeeping, and she is now the manager of our bookkeeping practice. She and her husband, a Professor of African and World History, have two almost grown children. In her free time, Jess swims on the local master’s team and she volunteers as the Director of a nonprofit working to bring swimming to a disadvantaged community in South Africa. She also dabbles a bit in the arts - quilting and taking ceramics and watercolor classes whenever possible.

Caren Rabin
Caren was born and raised in the Albany/El Cerrito area, and went on to raise her own family in Albany. She joined the family business in 2003 and has been key in maintaining the flow of tax season with her organizational and client relations skills. As office manager, her focus is providing clear communication with clients’ tax preparers by managing phone calls and documents in a confidential manner. During the off-season, Caren is a kindergarten classroom volunteer at Michelle Obama Elementary School in Richmond. In her off-time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and being with her family.
